Meet zepama team
Zepama: A Team Woven From Africa’s Innovation & Heart
At Zepama, we are not just building apps and designing wearables—we’re making technology connect people to their potential, rooted in the spirit and ingenuity of Africa. Our story begins with a team as diverse as the continent we call home, united by one belief: technology should empower, simplify, and celebrate life.
The Team
The Visionaries: Doyin Adesida (Founder & CEO) & Samuel Winner (Co – Founder & CTO)
Hailing from Nigeria, Doyin and Samuel are the “yin and yang” of Zepama. Doyin, a strategist with a dreamer’s soul, spotted a void: a co-trekking app connected to wearables that collaborate with communities, not just “serve” them. Samuel, a tech wizard, obsessed over turning that vision into code—crafting software that’s both robust and intuitive. Together, they’re the spark: a CEO who envisions tomorrow, and a CTO who builds the bridge to reach it.

Rafik Benbey
Founding Product designer 🇩🇿
The Design Storyteller: Rafik Benbey (Founding Product Designer, Algerian)
Rafik infuses Zepama’s products with the creative spirit of Algeria. He believes our solutions shouldn’t just count dailysteps of life—it should enhance it. Whether sketching a sleek watch face or redesigning the User Dashboard, Rafik asks: “Does this make someone’s day easier or more joyful?” His designs blend function and art, and data with humanity.

Wania Sheikh Ansari
Co-Founder (On Academic Leave) 🇵🇰
From Pakistan, Wania played a pivotal role in Zepama’s earliest development. As a diligent, detail-oriented co-founder, she worked closely with the CEO — often serving as a de facto Chief of Staff — finishing tasks left incomplete and providing daily status updates to ensure operational momentum.
Recently, Wania was awarded a *fully funded PhD scholarship at Western Michigan University (USA)*. While she steps down temporarily to pursue this academic milestone, Wania remains part of Zepama’s founding DNA — and a testament to the power of cross-border, mission-driven collaboration.

Niyi Adesida
Co-Founder, Strategic Advisor 🇳🇬
The Silent Compass : Niyi isn’t in the code or the headlines—but he is in the heart of Zepama. A U.S.-based nurse with over 14 years of frontline healthcare experience, and Doyin’s cousin, Niyi has seen both sides of the global health divide. His moral and mental support has been foundational since Day One. Behind the scenes, he shaped Zepama’s early mission around dignity, access, and long-term wellness.
For Niyi, Zepama is personal — a way to reconnect innovation with compassion, and give millions a platform where they no longer have to beg to survive, but can walk toward prosperity with pride.
